Amputee Prosthetic Clinic, Macon, Georgia, hosted and sponsored an OPAF First Stride clinic at Rehabilitation Hospital, Navicent Health in Macon. First Stride was led by Sheila Clemens, PT, PhD, and local therapists and clinicians attended for three hours of evidence-based education with continuing education credits.
The clinical classroom portion was followed by a two-hour, hands-on Train the Trainer lab with patients in rehabilitation, as well as long-time prosthesis and pre-prosthesis users. This marks the second time Amputee Prosthetic Clinic has hosted and sponsored a First Clinic.
In other news, Allard USA, Rockaway, New Jersey, has chosen to recognize the work of The First Clinics as a national leader in adaptive recreation with a holiday donation for the third consecutive year in lieu of cards and gifts for customers and friends.
OPAF, which is marking its 25th year in operation, has also released a celebratory logo for 2020.
