The 2015 PrimeFare West Regional Scientific Symposium, held March 20-21 in Denver, brought together practitioners from 19 states for prosthetics, orthotics, pedorthics, and management/adminis-trative education. Exhibitors responded with positive feedback about the number of potential customers they spoke with, as well as the generous amount of time allocated to breaks, and the Friday reception held in the exhibit hall.

Fred Lanier with Comfort Products, Croydon, Pennsylvania, summed up his experience with the meeting with one word: "Stupendous!"

Attendees were also satisfied with the education presented and the chance to visit with suppliers at the meeting. Speakers and presentations included Brian Gustin, CP, CEO of Forensic Prosthetic and Orthotic Consulting, Green Bay, Wisconsin, who addressed claim reviews from the payers' perspective and provided an in-depth look at how new healthcare delivery systems will affect the P&O profession now and in the future. His presentation covered ways to make adjustments to P&O practices in order to be successful in this new age of healthcare.

The symposium also supports the Colorado Orthotics and Prosthetics Association by providing space and equipment for the group to host its annual meeting.

PrimeFare West was sponsored by ReliaCare Alliance IPA, headquartered in Brooklyn, New York, with which PrimeCare Orthotics and Prosthetics Network, Germantown, Tennessee, recently merged. Other sponsors included: Bulldog Tools, Lewisburg, Ohio; WillowWood, Mt. Sterling, Ohio; ALPS South, St. Petersburg, Florida; Allard USA, Rockaway, New Jersey; Spinal Technology, headquartered in West Yarmouth, Massachusetts; Cailor Fleming Insurance, headquartered in Youngstown, Ohio; the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics; and the Board of Certification/Accreditation.
